January YLAH Adult Kit – Gnome Magnets

Supply List:

• 8 yards of yarn (+ 2 x 6in reserved)
• 10 mm wood bead or pom pom
• 5 inch square of burlap or fabric
• Hot glue gun or quick setting glue
• Scissors

Directions:
1. Wrap all 8 yards of yarn around the palm of your hand.
2. Carefully take the wrapped yarn off of your hand holding the center and tie a knot around the top bundle of yarn.
3. Pull opposite side of the bundle taught and cut the yarn creating the beard.
4. Folded in half tie the last reserved string near the top of the beard, forming a “head.”
5. Cut burlap or fabric to form cone shaped hat about 2.5 inches tall.
6. Glue hat fitting to the gnomes “head” and up the seam in the back to close.
7. Glue wood bead to front (the side opposite of hat seam).
8. Add magnet to the back of the gnome (side with hat seam).
