DIY Winter Ice Wreath

Supply List:

  • Container or Tupperware
  • Water
  • Twine or yarn
  • Fruit, vegetables, birdseed, evergreen clippings, and/or pinecones

Directions:
1. Fill your container with about an inch and a half of water
2. Add your evergreen clippings, birdseed, fruit and/or vegetables (anything safe for animals to eat)
3. Cut a piece of twine/yarn long enough to tie the ends together and create a hanger for your wreath. Submerge a portion of the hanger into the water and drape the remainder over the edge of your container.
4. Place the container in the freezer or outside if cold enough.
5. Once frozen you should be able to easily release your ice wreath from your container. Hang it from a tree or shrub in your yard or take it along on a hike and leave it for critters to enjoy as it thaws.
