Senior 55+ Connections: Crops of Ancient Iowa

June 18, 2021 @ 11:30 am

The Office of the State Archaeologist will be presenting on the roots of farming in Iowa. Evidence from archaeological sites and the oral histories of Indigenous peoples teaches us about these plants, who grew them, and the tools they used more than 3,000 years ago.

Over 55 years old? Then Zoom Party Line with us during the COVID-19 pandemic! Grab your computer (or ipad or phone) and lunch at 11:30 AM on Fridays for a real lunch and a virtual hangout! We might just spend an hour gabbing about our week… or maybe we will play a trivia game, view a travelogue, or chat with an area expert.
