Senior 55+ Connections: The Visible and the Invisible Night Sky

June 11 @ 11:30 am

Have you ever imagined what the sky would look like with X-ray eyes, infrared eyes or how about gamma ray eyes? Human eyes, which see visible light, are only able to perceive a tiny portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Join NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Mark Brown as he describes what the sky would look like if you could see these other “colors” or wavelengths and how scientists use that information to “see” and interpret our Universe.

Over 55 years old? Then Zoom Party Line with us during the COVID-19 pandemic! Grab your computer (or ipad or phone) and lunch at 11:30 AM on Fridays for a real lunch and a virtual hangout! We might just spend an hour gabbing about our week… or maybe we will play a trivia game, view a travelogue, or chat with an area expert.
