North Liberty Digital History Collection

Welcome to the North Liberty Digital History Collection, an open-access collection that captures the stories, images, and records of our community.   This project is designed to preserve the unique history of North Liberty, Iowa, and make it freely available for future generations.  Every member of our community is a part of the tapestry that makes up the full community.  Whether you want to find information about the past or would help us record the present for future generations, we’re happy you’re here and hope you find the collection useful.

Why This Matters

North Liberty has grown and changed dramatically over the last few years.  Every member of our community forms the tapestry that is North Liberty. This project helps:

  • Preserve community stories before they’re lost

  • Make local history accessible for students, families, and researchers

  • Strengthen civic identity by honoring where we’ve been

Every document, photo, and memory helps us understand our shared journey and enriches the story we pass on to future generations.
